Grape Hyacinth
Two weeks before I went to Japan in the end of April 2006, the shutter of my good old Canon 300D went worse, giving lots of ERRs 99. It didn't take me long to replace it with a brand new EOS 30D... However I wanted to check out the camera before leaving for Japan, so I did some "practice shots" in my parent's garden. This is one of the results.
I applied quite some post processing to this one, including selective relighting and blured highlights. I also used different white balances during RAW conversion for the shadows and the highlights.
