Stormy Sky
One of the reasons why I took my 30D when going out for some fresh air on last Sunday was that I was hoping to get some great pictures of clouds. Unfortunately I wasn't too lucky with this, as the sky mostly was a pretty uniform gray... Still, this picture turned out quite acceptable. I had another version of this shot with some people sitting on the benches, but I didn't manage to recover the file.
I guess you're getting used to this kind of post processing: Lots of local contrast stretchings and vignetting. Before starting with this, I first applied some perspective corrections, since I (still) don't manage to hold the camera horizontally while shooting.
Looking at the EXIF you might wonder why I took this image at ISO200 despite having a shutter speed of 1/800s at f/9: The reason for this is, that some time ago I noticed that my 30D yields a wider dynamic range at ISO200 than at ISO100. Since dynamic range was more important in this image than noise, I just decided to go that way (which of course didn't prevent me from blowing some highlights during post processing... oh, well).
