At the Pond

This is some sort of attempt to increase an image's tension by applying a rather high aspect ratio in order to get some "panorama style" image. While looking through the viewfinder I found it pretty difficult to judge how the image would turn out when cropping away most of its top and bottom. However, I'm rather happy with the result — happy enough for posting it.

Post processing is nothing unusual: Desaturating the image, local contrast enhacements as well as darkening the top and bottom border. Although I shot this image wide open with my 85/1.8 I found the background still too clear: To get a better "bokeh" I, in the end, applied some decent focus blur. I've added the original image so you can get an impression of how this changed the background.

Tagged Image Browsing

Browse the images on this site by clicking on one or more tags. When clicked, a tag becomes active (or inactive). Active tags will restrict the thumbnails on the bottom of this popup to images that have all of the currently active tags assigned. A tag that is assigned to the image currently visible is shown with a  blue background . Tags will be grayed out if none of the currently selected images have that tag assigned. Tags with a serif font designate an image gallery, i.e. images that are related to each other because they were e.g. taken during the same trip.
