International Finance Centre
This is the International Finance Centre located on the north shore of Hong Kong Island! In fact the center is made of two buildings, from which this one here is the larger one (I guess the second one's less than half that high). There's a floor (can't remember the number, but it's pretty darned high!) especially for visitors: After picking up your visitor's badge in the lobby, you can get up for free and enjoy an amazing view!
Post processing on this one was real fun, since I got lots of surprises while playing with UFRaw and Gimp. In the end, I chose to process the sky and the building separately: The former "suffered" under a heavily stretched curve during RAW conversion, and the latter got some tone and contrast mappings. And, no, this image is *not* recoloured: I increased the saturation, but all colours are straight from the RAW file. Check out the original, unedited image to see how the original looks and read the blog entry to learn more about how to get those colours out of a dull and boring image.
