Gotcha!

I've been walking by that door a couple of times per week, probably for a couple of years. And every single time I thought "Damn! Forgot my camera _again_!". I eventually managed to set an end to this and explicitely headed for that door past weekend!

(Still) Not impressed...

... by the new looks of the place in front of Karlsruhe Palace. Maybe I just need some more time to get used to it's appearance, maybe the dust just needs to settle a bit. For the time being, let's just stick to a few details...

Not an easy one...

The place in front of Karlsruhe Palace has been a construction site for more than a year. Past weekend it eventually was opened agained to the public (at least parts of it). Good reason for grabbing my camera and checking out what those guys were working on.

I wanted to shoot some panorama first, but there's still lots of construction site material around, so I stuck to a few details... and those were not that easy to find. At least, for this picture, I needed to walk around the entire place at least 3 times: When designing the place, the guys obviously didn't care about aligning the statues and those water channels with the trees in the background. So from all 6 pairs of statues, this is the only one that can be shot this way. Oh well...

Coffee again...

Having enjoyed 2 hours in the sun on top of the P10 and the Bitter Lemon I posted yesterday, I felt in need of something revitalising. So I opted for a Café Latte with Irish Cream flavour at Moccasin. It always feels weird to capture people, hoping they won't notice... but it worked, once again!
