... that weird self portrait I posted almost one and a half years ago? I shot a new one the other day! Since I like it, I'm posting it right here! Lets see how long I'll be keeping this as the start picture...

Playing around with the Sigma 150mm lens again... Really happy I bought that lens at the time — it doesn't have the optical stabiliser that came with the new version, but it cost only half the money! Giving rise to the question whether the stabiliser is worth 400 EUR?

... that's how those "blossom blobs" looked like against the blue sky! I'm not a fan of that pink colour, but one can make some exceptions!

While I've almost always limited myself to carrying my 17-40mm and my 85mm lenses on my photo tours, I recently gave a try at taking *only* my 150mm macro lens. This lens is awesome! Giving you entirely different pictures, I'll try to use this lens more often now: I like shooting small details anyway, and with true 1:1 macro capabilities one just has a lot of different options with choosing your details — while the 150mm and f/2.8 give you a decent tele lens for plenty of other shots!

Today's picture shows one of the craziest trees I've ever seen. It doesn't have one single leaf yet, but it is covered all over with these pink blossoms! There'll be more shots of this tree soon, since it just is too amazing!
