Lonely Tree
This was shot near the "Siedlung Sallenbusch" close to Weingarten, a small town around 15km to the north east of Karlsruhe. I went there by bike maybe a dozen of times, and everytime I saw this lonely tree I wished I would have carried my camera. Beginning of March this year I was having my last days of work at my employer and I was in need of some quiet and peaceful place. That place seemed perfect, but because of low temperatures I went there by car, taking my camera with me!
Funny thing: I wanted to take this picture for quite a long time, but after eventually having shot this tree, I didn't really know what to do with it post-processing wise. The original image's sky was showing a slight gradient becoming lighter to the top; while I usually would have killed it by applying some vignetting, I (for a change) enhanced it. I also lightened and enhanced contrasts in the field. There's not much more done here...
