Shining Past
When showing pictures of Greece it is almost impossible not to show old monuments and columns. So here we go today with a picture of the famous acropolis in Athens. The entire site has been under construction for decades, making it difficult to find a frame not containing scaffolds and cranes. Still, it is an impressive place, regardless from where you look at it: either on site, from the plaka or from nearby hills.
This is my first "sunstar picture" I took, and it took a while for finding a nice post-processing. I started with pulling two different exposures from the same raw file. Having blended them using gradient-like masks, I applied a major perspective correction. In the end I went for some more local exposure adjustments for darkening the top left corner while making the sunstar even more shiny and increasing details on the columns.
