Spring 2012
Spring eventually has reached Karlsruhe! With temperatures around 17°C and my last days off at my old employer, it is time for shooting some flowers again! This image is another evidence for my lacking ability of properly composing/framing images while shooting: it is a drastically cropped version of the original image and I'm still unhappy with it, i.e. I'd like to crop it even more to give a framing similar to this picture's thumbnail... but resolution and quality would have suffered too much!
Rergarding post processing, this is one of my few approaches at not perpetually darkening images but, instead, selectively lightening them. There are also a couple of blurred overlay layers and no local constrast stuff; I repeat: NO local contrast enhancements! Except, of course, the sharpening applied to the flowers.
