Stormy Sky
One of the reasons why I took my 30D when going out for some fresh air on last Sunday was that I was hoping to get some great pictures of clouds. Unfortunately I wasn't too lucky with this, as the sky mostly was a pretty uniform gray... Still, this picture turned out quite acceptable. I had another version of this shot with some people sitting on the benches, but I didn't manage to recover the file.I guess you're getting used to this kind of post processing: Lots of local contrast stretchings and vignetting. Before starting with this, I first applied some perspective corrections, since I (still) don't manage to hold the camera horizontally while shooting. Looking at the EXIF you might wonder why I took this image at ISO200 despite having a shutter speed of 1/800s at f/9: The reason for this is, that some time ago I noticed that my 30D yields a wider dynamic range at ISO200 than at ISO100. Since dynamic range was more important in this image than noise, I just decided to go that way (which of course didn't prevent me from blowing some highlights during post processing... oh, well). Tagged Image Browsing
Click on tags in order to make them active and
show only images with the active tags assigned. The current image's
tags are shown with a blue background .
Tags will be grayed out if they are not assigned to
any of the currently selected images. Tags with a serif
font designate an image gallery, i.e. images that are related to each other
because they were e.g. taken during the same trip.
