Yosemite NP
Driving from Sonora to Yosemite NP would have been a real pleasure a few weeks earlier. Where roads used to be surrounded by soft hills and dense forests, one now rides for almost an hour through burnt and desolated landscapes. The more the NP itself feels like a heavenly place. Giant granite faces flashing between tree tops offer a spectacular view, and the resulting stiff neck will let the untrained visitors perfectly remember their trip the morning after!
