50th Image and Post Processing Details
Well, today its the 50th image I'm posting — I would not have thought to reach this number within only 8 weeks! But, as you might have noticed, most of my shots posted so far are a couple of years old, meaning that I didn't get to shoot much new material lately...
However, another feature that I'm adding to this blog today, is for those interested in image editing: With today's picture comes a button on the top left for showing the original, unprocessed image, giving you hints about what I did with the Gimp. Maybe I'll be adding original versions of selected, previously posted images.

Skyline
I think I was in Hong Kong for one entire week — and this is the place I got back to about every evening, since the overall impression of this place simply is amazing. And of course I was hoping every day that the wheather, eventually, would get better... Unfortunately it didn't.

Lemon Mini
The colours in this scene were just crazy, with that lemon coloured Mini Cooper under those neon lights and next to lit facades!
I think this also is one my first pictures I took using the 10-20mm lens from Sigma... I didn't really know what quality to expect from this lens, but this shot simply is tack sharp from edge to edge!

Probably my luckiest shot from Hong Kong...
... since I was just strolling around the great escalators and trying to get back to the harbor and the ferries without knowing what to expect on my way.

For a change...
... I'll be uploading some images in the next days, that I took during my trip to Hong Kong in March 2007 when attending the WCNC conference. Since there probably hardly is a place on earth where you can find more colorful lights than in Hong Kong, most of my images were shot at night... Incredible since, lazy me, had to carry around a tripod all the time!
The first picture from this (probably small) series was taken on the Avenue of Stars in Kowloon.
