(An)Organic

This image probably is nothing unusual, but I shomehow like the shapes, colours and details on the moss and that strange piece of rock, as they show the difference and similarities between organic and anorganic material. The comparably almost perfect shape of a metal balustrade fixed on the ground appears as a third "human manufactured" and artificial component in the image, differing so much from the first two that it seems to be comming right from another world. I would have wanted to get even closer for achieving a higher magnification and showing more details, but this would have made my "shooting position" even less stable — So, instead, I consider myself lucky for not having blured the shot!

Post processing mainly consisted of local contrast enhancements and heavily increased saturation. See the unedited image for getting an idea how the original looks.

Tagged Image Browsing

Browse the images on this site by clicking on one or more tags. When clicked, a tag becomes active (or inactive). Active tags will restrict the thumbnails on the bottom of this popup to images that have all of the currently active tags assigned. A tag that is assigned to the image currently visible is shown with a  blue background . Tags will be grayed out if none of the currently selected images have that tag assigned. Tags with a serif font designate an image gallery, i.e. images that are related to each other because they were e.g. taken during the same trip.
