Sake
Although these here were captured in front of the Kasuga Shrine in Nara, they can be seen around nearly every shrine in Japan: Piles of barrels containing sake. I really like the wrappings around the barrels including the fancy printings! I wonder what they say...
For post processing I applied some tone mapping for increasing overall contrast and highlighting details such as the printings. I also removed most of the saturation and turned colors somewhat "colder".
