Autumn Leaves III

AKA: "Framed"

This is the main entrance of the former University of Karlsruhe (TH) as it has been looking like since 1825. The wall just looks great in autumn when its framed by a colorful Ginko on the left side and some other (apparently longer lasting) tree on the right side. I was very lucky with this image since the entire afternoon was rather gray and cloudy. A couple of minutes before I took this shot, however, a huge blue spot appeared on the sky and put those deep blue reflections in the windows.

I got plenty of details out of the wall by applying some contrast enhancements... Some additional saturation and vignetting, and there you go!

Tagged Image Browsing

Browse the images on this site by clicking on one or more tags. When clicked, a tag becomes active (or inactive). Active tags will restrict the thumbnails on the bottom of this popup to images that have all of the currently active tags assigned. A tag that is assigned to the image currently visible is shown with a  blue background . Tags will be grayed out if none of the currently selected images have that tag assigned. Tags with a serif font designate an image gallery, i.e. images that are related to each other because they were e.g. taken during the same trip.
