Dagstuhl Castle
Today I've added a picture I took during my institute's anual retreat to Dagstuhl Castle in March 2007. It's a high dynamic range image stitched out of 6 exposures, that, as usual, where assembled with Hugin and post processed with Gimp. Quite colorful compared to my New York architecture I posted earlier this week...

Flowers!
After having added lots of black/white and sepia colored images in the past days, I just felt like adding something more colorful today. What could be more appropriate than macro pictures of flowers?
I believe the "Pink Zinnia" was one of the first "test" shots I made after getting my macro lens, i.e. the Sigma 150mm f/2.8. This definitely is an awesome lens worth every cent! So if you're looking for a large aperture tele with macro capabilities, just go for it!
The picture of the Amaryllis is my second table top image added on this site. It was made with simple lighting and shooting techniques — see the image for further details.
Last but not least, the Grape Hyacinth is one of the first pictures taken with my EOS 30D: It was just taken for practicing purposes right before leaving for a trip to Japan in May 2006.

Rockefeller Center
I've just added two black/white architecture pictures taken from the "Top of the Rock" during my trip to New York City in June 2006... Be sure not to miss the high resolution versions as they show quite some detail!

Domain change + Images
Yesterday I, eventually, decided to upgrade my webspace quota to 1GB, which should allow to host my photography blog for some time — no more URL redirection and SSL certificates required!
I'm also adding another of my night shots, i.e. picture of the Filmpalast in Karlsruhe... and one of my favorite images I took of Karlsruhe Palace... enjoy!

Playing boule...
Today's image features friends of mine having a game of "boule" on a warm summer day in front of the castle in Karlsruhe...
