Not precisely a portrait, but I was just playing around with my brand new EF 85mm f/1.8... This one's shot wide open, as can be seen from the exceptional creamy background blur: Amazing lens!

Testing the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM

For testing this lens, I shot a couple of portraits on top of the Peak on Hong Kong Island. This one's not wide open but, still, the background is incredibly creamy... Maybe I'll be adding more of my "Peak Portraits" in a couple of days...

Nature on Lantau Island

One of the things I like about those ugly chinese calenders you get for free when eating at chinese restaurants around new year, is their paintings showing typical steep and greenish hills, whose tops are hidden by clouds. That's probably why I kept this shot as a souvenir...

Post Processing Style

Well, when comparing my first images I posted on this blog to the images I've been posting in the last days, there's a huge difference considering my post processing style. Somehow, the images from Japan and Hong Kong just seem to be perfectly suited for this fake sepia colouring, vignetting and tone mapping style, since I don't think I would treat my pictures from Sicily differently than at the time...

Anyway, today comes another heavily processed shot from Hong Kong Island...
