When going to Hong Kong in March 2007 I, by chance, met Martin Drozda (http://www.martindrozda.com). Owning an (analogue) Large Format Camera, he told me about the incredible amount of detail in his pictures, resulting in an overall resolution of about 100 Megapixel.
I kept this idea of "super resolution" in mind and, eventually, decided to investigate this a little closer more than one year later. I wanted an easy to shoot subject yielding lots of fine details, and the view out of my colleague's office seemed just perfect... The result is an image with more than 133 MP. |
