This is (probably) the place in Karlsruhe where you get the best coffee in town. I've been going there for years now, and I've never been disappointed in terms of coffee and muffins! Some time ago I wanted to start some shooting project around that coffee shop, but I only dared to take pictures from outside. This time I asked one of the ladies preparing the coffee whether I could take a picture inside the shop. She asked what sort of picture this was supposed to get and I replied it would mainly be about my cup and my muffin. So here we go...

For post-processing I started with the channel mixer for a b/w conversion. I've mainly used the blue channel for getting a higher contrast between the cup and the background. Afterwards I applied some vignetting and local contrasts.
