Blog page 15 of 27 (November 2009 — February 2010):Tue, February 16th 2010, 5:25PM: Going out and freezing again...
Unbelievable but it's still winter in Karlsruhe, and I never thought I would ever go outside voluntarily by that weather... but somehow I planned to shoot a fountain near my favorite sauna location in Karlsruhe for some time, so why not shooting it covered with snow? Today comes the first picture... I hope to post more of them soon!
Sun, February 14th 2010, 1:53PM:When will winter eventually be over...?!
That's what I keep on asking myself since mid January. If I had known earlier that winter would seem to last indefinitely, I would have gotten myself a good pair of warm shoes — That way, I could at least have spent more time shooting outside without getting cold and wet feet!
Sat, February 13th 2010, 12:37PM:Anyway, today comes another image from past friday's "quick winter shooting"... Snow again...
Having had some rising temperatures (+8°C) one week ago, snow returned to Karlsruhe the day before yesterday... I even managed to go out in the cold for taking a handfull of pictures, with maybe two or three keepers.
Wed, January 27th 2010, 2:32PM:For the picture posted today, I decided to introduce a new tag called "Colour Mapping"... I'll use this one for tagging pictures that are post-processed with a technique I saw from David J. Nightingale. As far as I could "reconstruct" this technique, an image is desaturated in a first step using a channel mixer (or whatsoever) and is getting individual curve adjustments for its single colour channels, c.f. http://www.chromasia.com/iblog/archives/1002101657.php 2010 premiere...
I know the last posting is more than two months old... but I warned you, that pictures might get added only irregularly. Indeed, it has been much too cold outside for doing some shooting lately, and apparently winter will not be ending in the next days!
Wed, November 18th 2009, 5:38PM:Anyway, since (for a change) we had some snow in Karlsruhe this year, I thought of posting a snow shot. Note that I could take this image without having to leave my office, which is heated to cosy 26°C :-) Last one...
This is probably the last shot from my autumn sunday a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't much to do with autumn, but I wondered what colours I would able to get out of such a subject.
