Economics' Buildings
This image is the view out of one of my colleague's office at the Institute of Telematics at the University of Karlsruhe. The picture is taken to the west, in the direction of Karlsruhe's famous market place which features a small pyramide. After Martin Drozda told me about the benefits of high resolution (see the blog), this is my first attempt ever at "(Faked) Digital Large Format" photography, i.e. producing images with a resolution beyond 100 Megapixel by stitching numerous images together. A total of 30 exposures where made and aligned in 5 rows and 6 colums, yielding a 133 Megapixel image. It's still a long way to go for breaking the Gigapixel, but the amount of detail in this image already is quite impressive (see the image details for viewing unscaled 100% crops of the original image). tags are shown with a blue background .
Tags will be grayed out if they are not assigned to
any of the currently selected images. Tags with a serif
font designate an image gallery, i.e. images that are related to each other
because they were e.g. taken during the same trip.
